FTOTSATM:PrologueNothing. It's been all day, and I've yet to see one dragon, Fiona thought, crouching on the branch, bow in hand. She had left it unstrung to keep the tension off the pliable yew, as she had been given no inclination to prepare it just yet. If she had not seen a soul for hours, there would be little chance that she would see anyone in the next few minutes. The sheathed blade strapped to the armor on her left thigh had seen just as little action; the gilded hilt reflected the setting orange sun on its alloyed surface. A cold autumn wind blew, cutting through her armor, causing her to shiver.&nbsFTOTSATM:Prologue


A Lady, not a Half DragonThe scent of over-ripe apples and wood burning in multiple fireplaces permeated the autumn air, and should have been comforting for Ceris, but they were all reminders of what was ahead. Of course, what could be seen of the mansion at the end of the tree-lined path was enough of a reminder to keep her spirits down, as well as her present company. Dont worry, said the young man who was walking alongside her. Im sure that theyll love you. They probably wont even let me through the door, she replied, pushing back a loose strand of hair with a black-claweA Lady, not a Half Dragon
